| Abstract: | O presente trabalho analisa sociologicamente o racismo no futebol brasileiro, caracterizando-o como um fenômeno social e cultural que reflete as estruturas presentes na sociedade brasileira. Partindo de sua criação até a sua chegada em território nacional, o futebol transformou-se em mais uma ferramenta de dominação da elite. Com isso, sob a perspectiva de autores como: Lívia Gonçalves (2010), DaMatta (1982), Bourdieu (1989; 2009) e Silvio Almeida (2019), conclui-se que o racismo no futebol brasileiro é um reflexo direto das desigualdades raciais que estruturam a sociedade brasileira desde o período da escravidão. |
| Description: | The present study sociologically analyzes racism in Brazilian football, characterizing it as a social and cultural phenomenon that reflects the structures present in Brazilian society. From its origins to its introduction into Brazil, football became another tool of elite domination. From the perspective of authors such as Lívia Gonçalves (2010), DaMatta (1982), Bourdieu (1989, 2009), and Silvio Almeida (2019), it is concluded that racism in Brazilian football is a direct reflection of the racial inequalities that have structured Brazilian society since the period of slavery. |
