| Abstract: | O turismo possui várias segmentações que nos ajudam a compreender as particularidades de cada público. Entre as motivações para viagens, podemos relacionar o turismo religioso que busca envolver o turista em experiências espirituais seja em lugares de fé ou eventos. O Brasil é um país de maioria católica mas que vem ganhando adeptos de outras religiões de forma crescente, como os evangélicos. Diante deste contexto, buscamos investigar o movimento adventista no país e de que forma ele está espalhado em várias cidades como São Bernardo-MA. O objetivo da pesquisa é refletir sobre a possibilidade de se desenvolver um turismo evangélico no município levando em consideração o movimento já existente de fiéis. A metodologia utilizada foi levantamento bibliográfico e pesquisa participante para obter informações mais específicas das atividades da Igreja Adventista de Sétimo Dia (IASD) em São Bernardo. Como resultados, verificamos que existem diversos eventos organizados pela IASD, além de atividades recreativas de lazer que movimentam um fluxo constante de pessoas todos os anos. Dessa forma, seria viável o desenvolvimento de ações que possam aproveitar esse público para envolver outros setores do município e, com isso gerar impactos positivos, ao mesmo tempo em que pode contribuir para a valorização da diversidade religiosa na região. |
| Description: | Tourism has several segmentations that help us to understand the particularities of each public. Among the motivations for travel, we can list religious tourism that seeks to involve tourists in spiritual experiences, whether in places of faith or events. Brazil is a country with a Catholic majority, but it has been increasingly gaining adherents of other religions, such as evangelicals. Given this context, we seek to investigate the Adventist movement in the country and how it is spread in several cities such as São Bernardo MA. The objective of the research is to reflect on the possibility of developing an evangelical tourism in the municipality, taking into account the existing movement of believers. The methodology used was a bibliographic survey and participant research to obtain more specific information on the activities of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (IASD) in São Bernardo. As a result, we found that there are several events organized by the IASD, in addition to recreational leisure activities that move a constant flow of people every year. In this way, it would be feasible to develop actions that could take advantage of this public to involve other sectors of the municipality and, with that, generate positive impacts, at the same time that it could contribute to the appreciation of religious diversity in the region. |
